About

From intern to procurement clerk in five years.

I'm currently a Procurement Clerk at Dandemutande Investments, running requisitions through to fulfilment end to end. Before this, I completed a graduate traineeship rotating across the full procurement cycle. Earlier still, I worked a buying role at Hunyani Paper & Packaging, vetting and onboarding suppliers for their Marondera division. It started with a procurement internship, handling international sourcing and RFQs.

Along the way I picked up a second skill set. I step in as Stores Officer whenever the position needs covering, so procurement and warehouse operations don't stall. Between that range and my degrees in strategic management and supply chain, I'm ready to plug into a new team fast.

Procurement Clerk

  • Runs the end-to-end procurement cycle: requisitions, supplier quotations, bid evaluation, purchase orders, and order-fulfilment tracking.
  • Negotiates pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms and product availability directly with suppliers.
  • Maintains supplier databases and audit-ready procurement records, and prepares procurement reports.
  • Steps in as Stores Officer during absences, receiving goods, issuing GRNs, updating ERP inventory and verifying stock.

  • Purchased for the Marondera division under the Procurement Administrator, tracking requisitions through to purchase-order creation.
  • Assisted with supplier vetting and onboarding, and handled foreign advance payment acquittals.

  • Sourced goods and services internationally and liaised with clearing agents on customs clearance.
  • Prepared and ran RFQs in line with company policy, then processed the resulting purchase orders through internal review and approval.
  • Followed up with service providers on delivery timelines and handled acquittals of foreign advance payments with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.
